Screen shots of Google Earth cloud cover and superimposed with typhoon tracking plotted from www.tropicalstormrisk.com gives a better picture of the present location of the typhoon, its future direction and how big its cloud cover is.

Satellite image from RAMMB-CIRA NOAA Satellites and Information latest image shows it on track and is on the yellow dot on my 6am update..looks like the images from google earth are late for now..forecast landfall is Saturday am

Mirinae(Santi) 6am Oct30, Google Earth Screenshot..Its Signal #2 today..looks like Mirinae has slowed down as per comparing Google Earth screen shot with tropicalstormrisk.com forecast. Showing the difference, the red dot is the center as of 6am Oct 30, while it should be at the yellow dot as of now if you refer to the forecast. The storm is moving fast 28kmh as per forecast, but will stick to the forecast locations as of now. Will continue to monitor this but basing from what i gather Sunday Nov1 will be the landfall. (caveat)

Ramil (Intl code Lupit) update Oct 21 6am

Been monitoring Lupit on www.tropicalstormrisk.com as it lingered on the Philippine Sea for 3 days, in a most unusual move (just like what happened to Parma) it made an S curve and is now on the move again making a dive for Northern Philippines though it will be felt as early as Thurs, Friday Oct 23 early am is the center's forecast landfall..it has now lesser than supertyphoon winds of  175kmh Cat 1 class.

Ramil (Intl code Lupit) Oct18 10am

Oct 18 10am update shows tracking of Lupit slowing down at its present location and going slightly north before going westwards by Tuesday.. its now at Category 4 more than 200 kmh center winds..slight discrepancy on the Google earth and the tropicalstormrisk.com plot at the oct 18 location, will recheck and update soon.

Tracking movement of Ramil (Lupit) as of 830pm Oct 17. Looks like its slowed down and slightly weaker than Parma(Pepeng was a 310kmh supertyphoon) but still a Cat 4 by Oct 20 Tues. Two supertyphoons in Northern Philippines in 2 weeks.

Another supertyphoon set to hit the Philippines Ramil (Intl code name Lupit) 170kmh st to peak at 240 kmh as it hits land by Oct 21 8pm at northern tip of the Philippines.
